IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ALL FIRE, RESCUE AND EMS PERSONNEL
The governor signed Act
66 into law in July. This legislation amended
the tax code to allow for a $100.00 state tax credit for
volunteer fire,
rescue and emergency medical service personnel for the
2008 tax year.

will take you to the Office of State Fire
Commissioner website. Located on the site are
several links to
documents including the Point System which was
required by the law.
The tax forms will be
available in January.
Now is the time to look
at the point system and try to determine the
best way you can look back to January 1, 2008 and do
your best to
provide the points for those areas you have not
typically tracked.
